Liz joined Akoya Capital in 2005, and as Managing Director, Leadership Talent, she partners with the Akoya Investment Team to align the human capital strategy with the investment strategy. This includes evaluating portfolio companies’ readiness for change during the transition from founder-owned to professionally managed. Liz oversees leadership team and cultural assessments, and she identifies, recruits, and assesses C-suite leaders with the skills to deliver on our growth strategy. She provides ongoing support, including onboarding, assimilation, and external resource recommendations.
Prior to joining Akoya, Liz was Vice President at Carlyle Group, where she specialized in the recruitment of senior executives for private equity, professional services, and manufacturing organizations. Liz also held recruitment and human capital management roles with Kearney.
Liz earned an MS in Industrial Relations from Loyola University and a BS degree from DePaul University.
Liz lives in Barrington with her husband Patrick and children, Matthew and Grace. Grace attends Texas Christian University, and Matthew attends Barrington High School. When Liz is not recruiting for our portfolio companies, you will find her attending her son’s lacrosse games and cheering for the TCU Horned Frogs. Liz is active in the community, volunteering at House of Hope, a local non-profit serving families in need.
