Don joined Akoya Capital Partners in 2010 and has been instrumental in building the chemical sector. His 40 plus year career in the petrochemical and oil industries has spanned roles in operations, sales and marketing, acquisitions, divestments, and business management.
He successfully integrated over $8 billion in chemical businesses and grew a major business unit from $1.5 billion in sales and $150 million in EBITDA to $2.7 billion in sales and $279 million in EBITDA in five years.
Don spent the majority of his career with Texaco and Huntsman, where he most recently served as COO and President of its Performance Products Division. He assisted the Huntsman organization in its acquisition of Texaco’s Chemical businesses. He also served on various Boards.
Don has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
